Jimmy Kimmel's Raunchy Trump Ballroom Joke
by Larry FitzmauriceBuzzFeedBuzzFeed StaffI'm a writer and editor who lives in Brooklyn, New York, and I've written for a variety of publications across the last 20 years, including The New York Times, The Guardian, GQ, New York Magazine, Pitchfork, The Fader—the list goes on.
By now, you've heard all about Trump's White House ballroom construction project. Similar to most things in 21st century American life, it's extremely expensive and seemingly useless to anyone who isn't rich.

There's been so much chatter in the last few months about the renovations that you might find yourself thinking, "What else could anyone even say about it?" Well, on last night's Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the titular host and perpetual Trump enemy came up with a new line of attack — and it's the kind of joke that might just get you booked in an HR meeting if you made it at work.

“Originally he said it would cost $200 million, and it would be financed by private donors,” Jimmy said. “Then the price tag doubled to $400 million, which he said would still be paid for by private donors. Then yesterday, Republicans in the Senate pushed a bill that would allocate a billion dollars of taxpayer money to go towards this project.”

"A billion dollars for a ballroom," Jimmy cracked. "What can you say? The man loves to dance."

"This is not a popular project. Why does he need a room to hold balls? He’s already holding a lot of balls. He's holding JD Vance’s balls, he’s got Lindsey Graham’s balls, he’s holding the balls of almost every Republican in Congress.”
