As you may have heard, 2026 is the year of Zendaya and Robert Pattinson.

Between now and December, they're appearing in three major movies together: The Drama, The Odyssey, and Dune: Part Three — and let me tell you, I couldn't be more excited.

First up, they're on the road promoting The Drama, in which they play a soon-to-be-married couple. And with weddings being a central theme of the movie, one of the biggest talking points on the ongoing press tour has been Zendaya and Rob's real-life relationships.

Zendaya, as I'm sure you're very aware, is with Tom Holland, and signs would suggest they recently got married, but they've yet to explicitly confirm it themselves.

Meanwhile, Rob is engaged to and shares a daughter with fellow actor and musician Suki Waterhouse. They, too, have been the subject of marriage speculation recently, giving Rob and Zendaya just another thing in common.

So, with all that in mind, Zendaya and Rob have both fielded plenty of questions about their notoriously private love lives in recent weeks. And while fans are loving the insight, a new interview interaction has rubbed people the wrong way.

Appearing on a French news show this week, Zendaya and Rob were asked if their respective partners are feeling "jealous" about all the time they've been spending together amid their trio of new movies.

In response, Rob and Zendaya shared a quick glance, laughed, and said in unison, "I don't think they are...at all."

"They're not jealous at all," Rob emphasized, brushing off the awkwardness with another big laugh.

On X, people have slammed the question as "weird" and "embarrassing," highlighting that Suki and Tom are also actors, and that Tom and Rob have worked together multiple times, too.

"What an embarrassing and silly question," one user wrote, while someone else questioned, "Why tf would they ask that?" "They're actors. Acting is a job, and I need people to remember that. Zendaya and Robert are both happy in their relationships. I can't believe someone would ask them this."

"they're actors who are doing their job and they both are in healthy relationship with their respective partners.. who tf asks questions like this?" echoed someone else.

Amid the discourse, people praised Zendaya and Rob for their handling of the awkward situation, saying: "their level of patience and politeness with interviewers asking the most ridiculous questions needs to be studied."

"She really had to emphasize that 'AT ALL' bc people love to project their insecurities onto them," someone said of Zendaya.

IDK about you, but this reminds me of that time when Zendaya was repeatedly asked whether she found it awkward to kiss her friend Timothée Chalamet in Dune: Part Two... These are professional actors at the top of their game. Let's get serious here, people!
