Anne Hathaway is clarifying one of the viral stories around the making of “The Devil Wears Prada 2,” which brings the Oscar winner back as Andy Sachs. In a Harper’s Bazaar cover story published last month, Hathaway’s co-star Meryl Streep revealed that Hathaway went up to the film’s producers on set and urged them to cast size-inclusive models. Since then, Hathaway has been asked repeatedly about fighting for size inclusivity during production.
“It was just this kind of quick thing that happened on set and now it’s become a much bigger story,” Hathaway recently told “Good Morning America” about the moment while clarifying that she never once advocated for models to be fired from the production, which is how some on social media interpreted the story.
