Greene predicts ‘political revolution in America’ if US troops sent to Iran

Former Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.), a former ally of President Trump who has since sparred with him over multiple issues, on Sunday predicted “political revolution in” the U.S. if there are American boots on the ground in Iran.

“If you send in U.S. military troops into Iran, there is going to be a political revolution in America. WE. ARE. DONE. We said no more foreign wars and we meant it. The coalition will unite and be unstoppable. I’ll make sure of it,” Greene said in a Sunday afternoon post on the social platform X.

“End this war. It’s stupid,” she added.

On Sunday, Trump told Iran that the “clock is ticking” as peace negotiations between Washington and Tehran seemed to be at an impasse.

“For Iran, the Clock is Ticking, and they better get moving, FAST, or there won’t be anything left of them. TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE,” Trump said on Truth Social.

Trump last week shot down Iran’s latest response to the White House’s peace proposal, referring to it as “totally unacceptable” in the wake of the Iranians requesting to separate nuclear talks from peace negotiations.

Greene has expressed her opposition to the U.S. war with Iran before, questioning Trump’s “mental state” shortly after it began,

“I want to say, what is happening to the man that I supported, you supported, the man that denounced what happened in Iraq, the man that said ‘No more foreign wars,’ ‘No more regime change?’ Greene told conservative commentator Megyn Kelly earlier this year.

“Promised it on the campaign. JD Vance promised it. Tulsi Gabbard promised it, all of them promised it. And we’re a year in, a year in, and we’re in another f‑‑‑ing war, and we’ve got American troops being killed.”
