As you may have heard, Dylan Sprouse and Barbara Palvin had a scary experience last week when a suspected trespasser broke onto their Hollywood Hills property in the early hours of Friday morning.

According to reports, Barbara made an emergency call at about 12:30 a.m, alerting police to a “creepy guy” on their property and a possible burglary. Amazingly, it was also reported that it was Dylan who tackled the suspected trespasser and apparently held them down at gunpoint until the authorities arrived.

The suspect, fortunately, did not make it into the house, only onto the property. They were arrested on outstanding warrants, and no injuries were reported.

In the aftermath, a source said that Dylan and Barbara were OK but “obviously very shaken up.”

Well, that was four days ago, and we’re pleased to say that it seems the couple are supporting one another and trying to see the funny side of the ordeal.

On Monday night, Dylan and Barbara made an appearance at the world premiere of The Devil Wears Prada 2 in New York City. They looked stunning in matching outfits on the red carpet and, unsurprisingly, fielded a number of questions about the recent home invasion.

Chatting with Entertainment Tonight, the pair were asked if they were “doing OK” after the “scary incident.” But, instead of immediately responding with words, Dylan began showing off his fighting moves — much to his wife’s amusement.

“Enough said,” he said fiercely into the camera, as Barbara playfully rolled her eyes and shook her head beside him. “We’re just happy for this distraction,” she added.

Amid all the concern and conversation around the home invasion reports last week, fans were certainly glad to see Dylan and Barbara on top form last night. And their playful dynamic on the red carpet is warming people’s hearts.

“The way she looked at him towards the end of the question cracked me up,” one Reddit user wrote, while someone else commented: “I can just tell Barbara knows it’s going to be something he brings up for the rest of his life 😂😂.”

“These two are so damned cute, I can’t stand it!” added someone else. “I’m glad everything worked out because that must’ve been some scary shit at the time.”

“He's been married three years, here you can see the beginnings of what will eventually be full fledged dad humor,” added another.

Away from the humor of it all, some fans speculated that Barbara looked a little tense when the topic first came up, and that maybe Dylan pulled out his fighting moves to “deflect the question and distract” her from the anxiety.

“Glad Dylan played it off nicely,” one user wrote. “Barbara looked uncomfortable; she might still be in shock.”

On TikTok, someone else suggested: “Seems like she didn’t want to talk about it and he tried to make light of the situation so it’s the focus isn’t all on her. He’s such a green flag.”

Whatever the case, Barbara said in another interview with E! News that she and Dylan are “dealing with the trauma with jokes and fun.”

“We're laughing about things the moment they happen,” Dylan added, saying that it’s never “too soon” for him to see the funny side of things. “You've got to have levity in life. Thankfully, no one was hurt, and there was no more violence than what happened. So, it's all OK.”

I love these two, and I’m certainly glad they’re both safe and sound! Watch their full ET interview here.
