President Trump said he’ll hold U.S. troops “in, and around, Iran” until the Islamic complies with the real agreement reached between the two countries.

“If for any reason it is not, which is highly unlikely, then the “Shootin’ Starts,” bigger, and better, and stronger than anyone has ever seen before,” Trump posted late Wednesday on Truth Social.

Vice President Vance is slated to lead U.S. talks with Iran this weekend in Islamabad.

The shaky ceasefire faces threats from continued fighting between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon.

At the Pentagon, the situation is tense between Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Army Secretary Dan Driscoll after Hegseth’s purge of senior Army officials last week. Read more on the situation here.

Trump has policy meetings and a MAHA roundtable on his schedule Thursday. First lady Melania Trump is also expected to make a statement at 2:30 p.m. EDT.

The House and Senate each will convene briefly on Thursday. In the House, Democrats will attempt to pass their war powers resolution through unanimous consent; Republicans will block that effort.
