As I am sure that you know, the 2026 Oscars took place on Sunday night, and it was a typically star-studded affair.

Conan O’Brien returned as the host, and the audience was made up of the biggest names in Hollywood, like Leonardo DiCaprio and Emma Stone.

Arguably, one of the most anticipated awards of the night was Best Actor, with many people torn over who would take home the statue. While Leo was nominated for his performance in One Battle After Another, the two biggest contenders were Michael B. Jordan for Sinners and Timothée Chalamet for Marty Supreme.

It’s worth noting that Timmy was initially the favorite to win, but a string of bad publicity saw his odds plummet. By the time the ceremony rolled around, Michael was widely considered a shoo-in, but that didn’t mean he and his castmates were any less shocked when his name was announced.

In fact, Michael was visibly shaking after he heard his name, and held tightly onto his mom’s hand as she emotionally congratulated him before he made his way up onto the stage.

As expected, the rest of the Sinners cast were also over the moon, including Delroy Lindo, who was sitting behind Michael and had lost out on the Best Supporting Actor Oscar earlier in the night.

But now, an eagle-eyed viewer has pointed out another celebrity who was beyond excited for Michael: Pedro Pascal, who was sitting in the row behind the winner, next to Delroy and his wife, Nashormeh N.R. Lindo.

In seriously awkward footage from the ceremony that has recently surfaced on X, Pedro can be seen reaching across Nashormeh to repeatedly shake Michael’s shoulder and pat him on the back.

While the video initially appears pretty wholesome, it’s evident that Nashormeh was somewhat irritated by Pedro’s display, as it prevented her from standing up. In one angle of the moment, Nashormeh can be seen going to stand up before leaning back in her chair when Pedro reaches out his arm:

She is then seen tapping Pedro on the shoulder:

After this, Pedro leans back in his chair, and Nashormeh goes to stand again, only for Pedro to reach over to Michael for a second time:

At this point, Nashormeh frantically taps on Pedro’s arm:

Another angle shows the look of understandable annoyance on Nashormeh’s face during this whole thing:
