22 Celebrity Lookalike Duos That Will Blow Your Mind
by Kaysey DavisBuzzFeedBuzzFeed StaffHi, I'm Kaysey and I'm a Contributing Writer for BuzzFeed Canada.
As someone who's fallen victim to a case of mistaken identity *multiple times* in my adult life, it still boggles my mind that there is an actual stranger walking around with my entire face. Like, riddle me this: Do I have a doppelgänger or am I the doppelgänger?

So I can only imagine what it feels like to be an internationally-recognized celebrity who is constantly being mistaken for another person who is also famous — wild!
And while there are some times when fans simply mistake two celebrities that have similar names — Michelle Williams (the singer and the actress), the Ryans of Canada (Gosling and Reynolds respectively), or even the canon of famous Chrises (there are too many to name) — there are also so many celebs who look like they've actually been copied and pasted. Here's a list of celeb doppelgängers, and I bet you can't actually tell them apart.
1.
Jesse Eisenberg and Michael Cera have been mistaken for one another for years. Both actors rose to fame in the late aughts playing awkward, but lovable teenagers (Jesse in Adventureland and Michael in Juno), and then spent the following decade constantly being confused for each other by fans. It became such a common occurrence that Zombieland director Ruben Fleischer tried to cast Michael as Jesse's doppelgänger in the sequel, Zombieland: Double Tap.

Before appearing in the Barbie movie together, Margot Robbie and Emma Mackey were constantly mistaken for one another. In an interview, Margot shared that a joke about the two actors being lookalikes got dropped from the 2023 film because they didn't actually look that similar. Okay, Barbie!

Daniel Radcliffe and Elijah Wood are easily recognizable to fans of Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings, but not everyone can make the distinction between the two. In an interview, Daniel said that while they aren't related, he can see why fans get them confused saying, "Conceptually, we are the same."

Michelle Williams and Carey Mulligan have each built such an impressive body of work as actors over the last two decades that it's actually a massive flex to be confused for one another. Carey Mulligan even joked about it during her SNL monologue in 2021, saying "I used to say, 'Oh, sorry, that's Michelle Williams.' But now, I just say, 'Thank you! I am Michelle Williams."

Music isn't the only thing Zooey Deschanel and Katy Perry have in common. During an Instagram Live, Katy admitted that when she first moved to LA she used to pretend to be Zooey to get into clubs. Fast forward to 2020, the two celebs had a full circle moment when Katy gave birth to her daughter, Daisy, and asked Zooey to step in and film the music video for her song "Not the End of the World."

Timothy Olyphant and Josh Duhamel are such good sports about being mistaken for one another that they turned it into an inside joke. Josh posed for a photo with Timothy's wife and children, which became the official family Christmas card, and Josh looked so much like Timothy that his mother couldn't tell the difference.

Nina Dobrev may have played a pair of doppelgängers in The Vampire Diaries, but she also has one IRL. In an interview, Victoria Justice shared that fans have always pointed out the similarities between her and Nina saying, "I think it’s flattering. She’s so pretty, so it’s very nice to be able to say that! I get the Nina thing a lot."

Tom Hardy and Logan Marshall-Green may look like twins (and Tom actually played a pair of twin gangsters in the 2015 film Legend), but it's Logan who has a real-life identical twin. His name is Taylor Marshall-Green and although he's not an actor, he could easily be a body double for Logan or Tom.

At the beginning of his career, Rupert Grint was recognized for his role as Ron Weasley in Harry Potter, but over the last decade, he's been mistaken for Ed Sheeran more often then not. The two Brits have joked about their likeness, with Rupert appearing in two music videos ("Lego House" in 2011 and "A Little More" in 2025) as Ed's fan and doppelgänger.

Kiernan Shipka and Mckenna Grace could be sisters they look so much alike. With a seven year age gap between them, Mckenna was the perfect choice to play the role of Kiernan's younger self in the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.
