Coverage of today’s UCLA vs. South Carolina game begins at 2:30 p.m. ET with the “NCAA Women’s Championship Special,” presented by Capital One. The “NCAA Women’s Championship Postgame Show” presented by Nissan airs immediately following the final game on ABC and ESPN.
Both ABC and ESPN are no doubt hoping for big ratings for the Women’s March Madness finale today. This year’s tournament has been a ratings winner for ESPN, with the broadcaster reporting viewership numbers for the first round up nine percent over last year. ESPN also notes that viewers spent more than 1.3 billion minutes watching women’s first round games, the second highest total on record (behind 2024).
UCLA reached the title game for the first time in program history after the Bruins defeated Texas in a Final Four matchup. The Gamecocks, meantime, topped the defending champion UConn Huskies, who had been 38-0, in the other semifinal game.
