Surprising literally everyone, the Queer Eye star, who's known for his eye-catching silver hair, debuted a brand new look on Instagram. And even he knew this style makeover would be a shocker to fans.

"Don't freak out," he posted on Instagram. "I know my hair is dark."

"I know it's very weird to see me with dark hair," he continued. "It's weird to see myself with dark hair."

Tan explained that his famous hair is currently dark for an upcoming role, and that he's only sharing this transformation because he was spotted out and "people were very confused."

He assured his followers that the silver hair will absolutely make a comeback in the next few months. "This is not a mid-life crisis," he said. "I hate dark hair on me. I love my silver hair. And you just know I love my greys. I’m not ashamed of them whatsoever, I’m really proud of my greys."

Tan's followers and famous friends flooded his comments with hilarious reactions. His Queer Eye co-star Antoni Porowski wrote, "my brain is glitching so hard rn 🙃."
