During a recent appearance on LIVE With Kelly and Mark, co-host Mark Consuelos commented that the veteran TV personality and comic recently turned 70 years old. "It doesn't make any sense," Kelly remarked — and from there, things took a turn.

"What do you mean, it doesn't make any sense?" Howie replied. "You look great," Mark offered, which prompted Howie to shoot back, "That doesn't mean anything to me." "No, it does!" Kelly exclaimed.

"No. No," Howie replied. "I don't like that, 'cause that's a caveat. You tell someone you're 70, and they go, 'You look great?'"

"We're not saying you look great for 70," Kelly insisted. "Yes you are!" Howie passionately replied, adding, "Without saying 70."

Mark tried to regain control of the convo, but Howie went on. "It's like saying you're smart for a stupid person," he said. "Oh, you look smart! You seem smart! [You're saying] I don't look good."

Mark then reassured Howie, "You do look good," and Howie accepted the compliment and went on chatting about his fitness regimen and so forth.
