Netflix is bulking up its podcast lineup, announcing five new shows coming to the streaming platform.
The company dove into the space last year, inking distribution deals with Spotify, iHeartMedia and Barstool Sports. Netflix also released original podcasts “The Pete Davidson Show” and sports analysis and talk show “The White House,” hosted by Michael Irvin.
Now it’s adding several new shows to the queue: pop-culture interview podcast “We’re Back! With Brian Williams,” hosted by the former NBC News anchor; true-crime podcast “The Rotten Files,” from Stephanie Soo (known for her popular podcast “Rotten Mango”); “Shut Up Evan” hosted by Evan Ross Katz; “Allegedly,” a true-crime show hosted by NBC News correspondent Ellison Barber; and “The Puzzle Room with David Kwong.”
