by Kaysey DavisBuzzFeedBuzzFeed StaffHi, I'm Kaysey and I'm a Contributing Writer for BuzzFeed Canada.

One of my favourite things about living in a city like Toronto or Vancouver, is the possibility of running into a famous person at any given moment. The sheer amount of films and TV shows that get filmed in Canada every year means your chances of running into a celebrity while you're at a restaurant, concert, or sporting event are extremely high.

My personal favourite celeb encounter happened almost a decade ago when I ran into Michael B. Jordan while he was filming Fahrenheit 451. I know. It was completely unexpected and I have never actually recovered from the shock, excitement, and rush of dopamine that I experienced from meeting him.

I mean the year isn't even half over, and it seems like every week there's a different celebrity being spotted. With summer coming up, Toronto and Vancouver are set to become major hotspots for celebrities while they film their next projects, and I, for one, want to know the name of every, single famous person I can expect to see, meet, and possibly befriend while they're here. Here's a list of all the times celebrities were spotted this year and which stars are coming later this year.

1.

The Canadian show that took Hollywood by storm, Heated Rivalry, is set to film its second season this summer, which means a Connor and/or Hudson sighting is entirely possible. There haven't been any announcements about new additions to the cast, but Jack Innanen is rumoured to be in talks to join the hit show.

Speaking of Hudson Williams, the Canadian star was seen filming Apparatus, a psychological thriller, with Dylan O'Brien in Hamilton. Hudson also blessed fans with BTS photos of his co-star on social media. The film is expected to wrap in Mid May, so there's still a chance for a run-in with both actors.

Season one of The Audacity was released earlier this month, and it's already been renewed for a second season. Billy Magnussen, Zach Galifianakis, and Sarah Goldberg (a fellow Canadian) will return to Vancouver to film this summer.

Theo James is currently in Toronto filming a 1950s mafia thriller, The Bookie and the Bruiser, with Vince Vaughn. The film is in production until late May, but the English actor has already been spotted a couple times by fans, including a random sighting at Dufferin Mall — shopping like a true local at Walmart.

Phoebe Dynevor and Patrick Schwarzenegger were recently announced as the stars of Beach Read, a film based on the bestselling romance novel by Emily Henry. While production is scheduled to start in June, Patrick and the film's director, Yulin Kuang, were recently spotted at a local Carribean restaurant in Toronto.

Legally Blonde prequel, Elle, is slated for release in July, but the cast has already returned to Vancouver to film season two. Maitreyi Ramakrishnan is set to join the cast, which is already teeming with Canadian talent. We love to see it!

Sandra Oh was recently spotted in Toronto at local Thai restaurant, Pai. The Canadian star is set to come back to Canada this summer to film Child's Play, a psychological thriller based on a short story written by Canadian writer Alice Munro. The rest of the cast hasn't been announced yet, but Canadian playwright Hannah Moscovitch is attached to the project as the lead screenwriter.

Kaitlyn Dever will spend a lot of this year in Canada filming season three of The Last of Us. The star, who plays Abby Anderson in the video game adaptation, moved to Vancouver at the beginning of the year and started production in March and will wrap in November. Adam Sandler has been making himself at home in Vancouver while he films his next movie, Time Out. He was spotted at a steakhouse in Squamish and at the downtown YMCA playing basketball over the last few weeks. His co-star, Willem Dafoe, has also been enjoying his time in Vancouver, and was recently seen at the Vancouver International Burlesque Festival earlier this month.
