Sydney Sweeney Cut From Devil Wears Prada 2

Here's one person you won't be seeing in one of the year's most anticipated movies.

Let's get down to business: The Devil Wears Prada 2 is imminent. Specifically, it hits theaters on May 1. You'll see it, I'll see it — pretty much the whole damn country is about to be seated.

So, when the movie was in production last year, at one point Sydney Sweeney — who we all know and, well, have some sort of opinion about — was seen shooting a scene for the film. Here's a photo of her under an umbrella:

Well, Entertainment Weekly reports that Sydney's turn won't be showing up in the film at all — and a source claimed to reveal the reason why as well.

The publication claims that Sydney's appearance took place early in the film, with Emily Blunt's character Emily Charlton (hey, did they gave her that character name on purpose?) styling Sydney — who, if it isn't apparent at this point, was supposed to be playing herself — while the film's other protagonists visit Emily at the Dior offices.

According to EW's source, "the scene did not work structurally with the rest of the sequence" — so, out it apparently went. "The team working on the movie was grateful for her participation, making the decision to remove the bit a difficult one," the publication added.
