Move over, quidditch: “Harry Potter” is sending thousands of drones into the sky to celebrate the franchise. Timed to the franchise’s 25th anniversary, Warner Bros. Discovery’s Global Experiences division has teamed up with Fever to launch “DroneArt Show: Harry Potter.” The open-air event kicks off in Los Angeles on June 13 as part of a larger “Harry Potter” celebration. After that, the drone show will continue its global tour, hitting at least 26 cities.

The show will consist of 1,200 drones that light up into formations of characters, scenes and locations from the “Harry Potter” films. A live violinist accompanies the show, while audience members will also be given LED wristbands to participate.

The Dodger Stadium kickoff will include other moments besides the drone show to mark the show’s 25th anni, with additional details to come.

“We are thrilled to collaborate on this innovative experience that celebrates the legacy of the world of ‘Harry Potter’ through music, technology and storytelling, creating a shared moment of wonder for audiences around the world,” said Warner Bros. Discovery Global Experiences vice president Kathleen Wallis.

The hour-long drone show, which will include an intermission, is expected to cost $55 for adults and $30 for children. Beyond Los Angeles, other U.S. cities for the event include Phoenix, San Antonio, Austin, Los Angeles, Boston, Philadelphia, Chicago, Albuquerque, Sacramento, Denver, Dallas and Houston. Other cities set to host the event include Nantes, Bordeaux and Lyon in France; Munich, Cologne and Berlin in Germany; Milan and Turin in Italy; Seville, Barcelona, Valencia and Madrid in Spain; and Newcastle and Manchester in the U.K.

“Through this collaboration, we continue to merge cutting-edge technology, artistic direction and powerful storytelling, transforming one of the world’s most iconic cinematic universes into an unforgettable large-scale live spectacle that brings fans together in a truly unique and magical way,” said Isabel Solano, global vice president of original experiences at Fever.
