Broadly speaking, Fox‘s schedule for the start of the 2026-27 season looks a lot like the one that began the current season: Three nights of unscripted shows, two nights of scripted and sports on Friday and Saturday.
Some of the specifics, however, are different — including a live-action comedy joining the network’s Sunday animation block for the first time in eight years. The fifth season of the Joel McHale-led Animal Control will move into the fall for the first time — it’s been a midseason show for all of its life so far — and follow The Simpsons on Sundays. (The last live-action comedy to air on Fox’s Sunday schedule was Rel in 2018.)

Universal Basic Guys will move back to 9 p.m. Sundays, and the third season of Grimsburg, starring Jon Hamm, will round out the Sunday slate. Grimsburg has been away for awhile, last airing in July 2025. Family Guy, Bob’s Burgers, American Dad and Krapopolis are all set for midseason premieres.
After a strong inaugural season earlier this year, Best Medicine will keep its Tuesday night home in the fall, again pairing with Doc. The former’s episode count will increase from 12 to 14 for season two, meaning that Best Medicine will likely give way to another hour-long show in early 2027 (Doc was renewed for a 22-episode third season).
The unscripted nights — Celebrity Name That Tune and Celebrity Weakest Link on Monday, The Floor and 99 to Beat on Wednesday, and Hell’s Kitchen and Special Forces on Thursday — are unchanged from last fall.
Not on the fall schedule are any of the three new series Fox ordered for 2026-27: Dramas Baywatch — arguably one of the highest-profile newcomers on any of the broadcast networks next season — and The Interrogator and unscripted show Marriage Market. The network opted for stability in the fall and will likely use the NFL to help launch some of the new trio; Baywatch will premiere in January, while dates for the other two are still to come. Season three of Murder in a Small Town and season two of Memory of a Killer are also on tap for midseason, as are new installments of The Masked Singer, Next Level Chef, Fear Factor: House of Fear and several other unscripted shows.
Fox’s schedule for the fall is below.
