Repeated Red Carpet Looks

There was a time when wearing the same outfit to multiple events was, like, the worst fashion crime a celebrity could commit.

Nowadays, however, outfit repeating is celebrated for promoting sustainability as well as making fans feel nostalgic! Here are 21 times celebs rewore their red carpet looks:
1.
THE ORIGINAL: At the 2015 Oscars, Zendaya wore a Vivienne Westwood gown. Reflecting on the look, she told Vogue, "This is my first Oscars experience. I had stayed up quite late the night before, having my hair done. I didn't have any kind of credentials or anything. Kinda snuck onto the red carpet, 'cause I was like, 'Listen, I have been up all night getting my hair done. We have this amazing Vivienne Westwood dress. Like, I'm getting on this red carpet.' And so I kinda shimmied on there, even though I wasn't really supposed to."

At the time, her locs — and the eloquent way she critiqued cruel comments about the hairstyle — made headlines. Fashion Police host Giuliana Rancic said, "I feel like she smells like patchouli oil...maybe weed."
On Twitter, Zendaya said, "There is a fine line between what is funny and disrespectful. Someone said something about my hair at the Oscars that left me in awe. Not because I was relishing in rave outfit reviews but because I was hit with ignorant slurs and pure disrespect. To say that an 18-year-old young woman with locs must smell of patchouli oil or 'weed' is not only a large stereotype but outrageously offensive. I don't usually feel the need to respond to negative things, but certain remarks cannot go unchecked... I suggest some people should listen to India Arie's 'I Am Not My Hair' and contemplate a little before opening your mouth so quickly to judge."
Giuliana made a public apology, telling E!, "I'd really like to address something that is weighing very heavy on my heart. Something I said last night did cross the line. I want to say to Zendaya and anyone else out there that I have hurt that I am so, so sincerely sorry... This incident has taught me to be a lot more aware of clichés and stereotypes, how much damage they can do."
THE REWEAR: In 2026, she brought the dress back out for the premiere of her new movie, The Drama. She told Variety, "I was brainstorming with [stylist Law Roach] about how I would theme dress for this film, and I kind of remembered the saying, 'Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue.' So I thought I'd bring it back. [The 2015 Oscars] was such an important moment for myself, my community, for my loved ones, and it felt right. And it also happens to be a wedding dress, so that works."

The same team worked on her dress for the ceremony.
Joe Big Mountain and his wife, Sunshine, told Gucci, "For the dresses, we utilized a couple different styles of quillwork, one being zigzag stitch and one being a wrap. These techniques are passed down through family and certain people in the community. To have Lily choose to wear our work and to be able to partner with Gucci and Sabato is just so near and dear, not only to our family and our hearts but to our people as a whole."
Both gowns were displayed at the Smithsonian's National Museum of the American Indian.
THE REWEAR: At the 2025 SAG Awards, Lily walked the red carpet in the same dress. They told InStyle, "Joe Big Mountain does one of the oldes
