Following Apple’s recent WWDC keynote, the company has unveiled iOS 27, featuring significant updates like Apple Intelligence, a revamped Siri, and enhanced customization options. While the official public release is slated for this fall, Apple has made the first developer beta available for immediate download. This early access allows users to preview new features, but it comes with substantial technical caveats that most casual users should carefully consider before proceeding.

Installing a developer-grade beta on a primary device carries inherent risks, primarily due to the lack of stability testing. Because this is the initial release, it is intended strictly for developers to ensure app compatibility rather than for general consumer use. Users may encounter critical bugs, system instability, or performance issues that could render their iPhones difficult or impossible to use. Unlike the eventual public beta, which undergoes several rounds of refinement, this version is essentially unpolished software.
