Adam Driver Responds To Lena Dunham Allegations

Lena Dunham's new memoir Famesick has already proven to be one of the year's most talked-about books.

The book is chock-full of revelations regarding Lena's personal life as well as her claims about what really went on while making her iconic HBO series Girls — and there's also quite a bit about her general interactions with Girls costar Adam Driver.

In one passage of the book, Lena alleges that Adam was "verbally aggressive" and hurled a chair during rehearsals for the show.

“I remember doing a fight scene with Adam and how scary it was to meet someone so totally present with such absence," she wrote. "Late one night, as we practiced lines in my trailer, I found that mine were suddenly gone. I knew I’d written them. I’d known them only minutes before."

"But when I opened my mouth, all that came out was a stammer — until finally, Adam screamed, ‘FUCKING SAY SOMETHING’ and hurled a chair at the wall next to me. ‘WAKE THE FUCK UP,’ he told me. ‘I’M SICK OF WATCHING YOU JUST STARE.’”

Adam's currently at Cannes to promote the premiere of his new film Paper Tiger, and during a press call for the film he was directly asked about what Lena wrote in his memoir — and his response was short but notable.

“I have no comment on any of that," he said, before saying in a seemingly joking manner, "I’m saving it all for my book."
