Anne Hathaway requested that the models in The Devil Wears Prada 2 not be "skeletal" thin.

In October 2025, it was reported that the sequel was shooting in Milan during fashion week. As it turns out, the cast attended some shows on the DL — which was a first for Miranda Priestly actor Meryl Streep.

As part of the new Harper's Bazaar profile about Anne, Meryl recalled being "struck by how not only beautiful and young — everyone seems young to me — but alarmingly thin the models were."
