Taylor Momsen has revealed she was hospitalized after suffering a spider bite while on tour with AC/DC.
The Pretty Reckless vocalist took to Instagram on Tuesday, where she shared a photo of her leg where the bite occurred, alongside a separate post where she confirmed she spent the night at the hospital.
“Hospital today, show tomorrow, poisonous spiders are NO BUENO,” she wrote alongside two spider emojis, continuing, “but the show must go on, see you tomorrow Mexico City.”

In her second post, Momsen shared a selfie of herself in a hospital bed wearing a mask, attached to another video of her being rolled through a hospital. “Or I just spend the night in the hospital…thank you to the amazing doctors who, well, they know,” she wrote.
The Hollywood Reporter has reached out to Momsen’s reps for comment, but did not hear back by the time of publication.
The Pretty Reckless is scheduled to be on the road consistently through the remainder of the year. On Wednesday, Momsen and the band announced their latest track, “Love Me,” will be released on Friday. Their fifth studio album, Dear God, will be released on June 26.
The former Gossip Girl actress did not clarify which type of spider bit her. The medical situation did arise, however, while she was on tour with AC/DC, occurring almost two years after she was bitten by a bat onstage, while touring with the same legendary rock group.
“So…ROCK AND ROLL MOMENT…in Sevilla Wednesday during “Witches Burn” of all songs… a BAT flew onto me and clung to my leg…in the moment I was performing and had no idea until the incredible crowd kept screaming and pointing…he was cute, but yes he bit me…so rabies shots for the next two weeks,” Momsen wrote in an Instagram post at the time. “Thanks to all the staff at the hospital who dubbed me #batgirl after seeing it on the local news that morning…more footage to come…that’s one for the books!!!!”
