The Gotham TV Awards will recognize Michelle Pfeiffer with this year’s Legend Tribute.
The three-time Oscar nominee, who was also previously nominated for an Emmy, will be recognized at the 2026 Gotham TV Awards, set for Monday, June 1 at Cipriani Wall Street in New York.
Pfeiffer is currently on a TV run that includes starring roles in Apple TV’s Margo’s Got Money Troubles, where she works with her prolific TV creator husband David E. Kelley for the first time, and Paramount+’s, The Madison, from another TV stalwart, Taylor Sheridan.

The Legend award is given to one of TV’s most beloved and influential performers, with last year’s inaugural honor given to Parker Posey.
Pfeiffer will be celebrated for her significant contributions to both film and TV over the past three decades, including acclaimed roles in Scarface, Dangerous Liaisons, The Fabulous Baker Boys, French Exit and HBO’s Barry Levinson-directed Bernie Madoff movie, The Wizard of Lies, where she played his wife Ruth Madoff.
“Television is where some of our most essential storytelling is happening right now, and Michelle Pfeiffer’s work in Margo’s Got Money Troubles and The Madison is a reminder of what a great actor brings to the medium,” Gotham Film & Media Institute executive director Jeffrey Sharp said in a statement. “The Gotham Legend Tribute honors artists whose contributions to film and television have shaped the culture, and Michelle stands as one of the defining actors of her generation. We are proud to celebrate her this June.”
It was previously announced that Stranger Things creators Matt and Ross Duffer will receive the visionary tribute at this year’s ceremony. Additional honorees will be announced in the coming weeks.
Big Mistakes and Death by Lightning lead the nominations for the third annual Gotham TV Awards, with four nods each.
