The strike marks the second time the aircraft, which can reach an altitude of over 50,000 feet and fly 6,000 nautical miles without refueling, has been used in an operation against Iran. Last June, seven B-2 Spirit stealth bombers, which took off from Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri, dropped 14 30,000-pound GBU-57 massive bunker-busting bombs on Iran’s nuclear sites at Fordow, Isfahan and Natanz. Analysts monitoring open-source flight data tracked four B-2 bombers, which can reach anywhere in the world with aerial refueling, flying from the U.S. towards Iran. President Trump is pushing for regime change in Iran and warning Tehran not to retaliate as Israel launched another round of strikes against Iran on Sunday. The president said in an interview with The Atlantic on Sunday that he has agreed to speak to Iran’s new leadership after the country’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, was killed in joint U.S., Israeli strikes on Saturday. Centcom said Sunday morning that three servicemembers were killed and five were seriously injured, the military’s first casualties since the U.S. and Israel began striking Iran early Saturday.
