(NEXSTAR) – While not the earliest date it can be celebrated, Easter Sunday has arrived far earlier this year than it did in 2025. If it snuck up on you, leaving you short-handed for your Easter dinner and egg hunts, have no fear – several grocery stores and restaurants will be open for the holiday.
Though they may not be listed below, many local grocers and restaurants may be open for the holiday as well.
Whether you’re visiting a local business or one of the chains listed below, it’s best to confirm their individual hours before stopping by on Easter Sunday. Some may have shortened hours, including for services within them, which may also be closed for the day.
You can find most hours online or by calling the location.
Below are the stores that have confirmed they’ll be open for Easter Sunday:
- CVS
- Dollar General
- Dollar Tree
- Family Dollar
- Giant Eagle
- Kroger
- Trader Joe’s
- Walgreens
- Walmart
- Wegmans
- Whole Foods
And here are the restaurant chains that have confirmed their locations will be open on Easter. It’s also worth noting that many of the restaurants below are locally owned, which means they may close or have shortened hours, while other locations in the same brand may not. It’s best to confirm hours before stopping by.
