I'm growing tired of the new structure of TV shows, where I have to wait a minimum two years for the next season, and all I get are eight episodes that rush the plot. Whatever happened to having 20+ episodes per season and allowing audiences to actually keep up and enjoy the show? Don't get me wrong—I enjoyed Bridgerton season 4. However, breaking it into two parts and making me wait further after leaving the climax at a cliffhanger was a dirty move in my opinion. Just let me binge my favorite romance show in peace!

This new 'trend' has left fans disappointed with how much they have to wait for new seasons, and it ruins the binge-watching appeal.

Given how audiences forget what happens between seasons rather quickly, it seems that the only way to keep fans interested is to produce and release the seasons faster with more episodes. Nonetheless, mainstream TV shows continue to follow this 8-episode route with increasingly disappointed fans. However, one new genre of shows has taken the hint and come up with the best solution to retaining fans' interest: vertical dramas!

So if you don't already know, vertical dramas are one-minute episodes that are shot specifically for mobile viewing, and each episode ends in a thrilling cliffhanger. Most popular dramas range from rom-coms to fantasy. But the best and most appealing part of vertical dramas is that they come packed with over 50 episodes in one season (you read that right). Can you imagine having so many episodes to watch right away without having to wait months for new content? It's truly the best thing ever.

These one-minute episodes are brimming with entertainment and drama, giving us viewers the satisfaction of completing one show at our own pace and enjoying the dramatic plot. Whether it's a 'love at first sight' or a 'dark romance' story, these dramas always deliver the most thrilling plots.

And to add to this, vertical dramas have a quick turnaround time—meaning that we get new dramas every two months or so, each with more than 50 episodes available for audiences to watch. This genre has successfully read the audience's mind and is delivering top-quality content in record time—a feat that Hollywood is still trying to crack. With this, vertical dramas have a loyal fanbase that tunes into the dramas on platforms like ReelShort, DramaBox, and GoodShort.
