House Fuller, Harris nab spots in Georgia House runoff for Greene’s seat by Caroline Vakil - 03/10/26 8:06 PM ET by Caroline Vakil - 03/10/26 8:06 PM ET Share ✕ LinkedIn LinkedIn Email Email Republican Clay Fuller and Democrat Shawn Harris are advancing to a runoff to replace former Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) in Georgia’s 14th Congressional District, according to Decision Desk HQ. All candidates, regardless of party, ran on one ballot in the special election for Georgia’s 14th Congressional District in the northwest corner of the state. Fuller and Harris, a retired brigadier general and cattle producer, would have had to win at least half of the vote outright to avoid the April 7 runoff. Harris is expected finish first, and Fuller will likely finish in second place, according to Decision Desk HQ. Harris previously ran against Greene in 2024, losing to the former congresswoman by close to 30 points. Trump endorsed Fuller last month, writing in a Truth Social post, “As your next Congressman, Clay will fight tirelessly to Grow the Economy, Cut Taxes and Regulations, Promote MADE IN THE U.S.A., Unleash American Energy DOMINANCE, Keep our Border SECURE, Stop Migrant Crime, Safeguard our Elections, Champion School Choice, and Defend our always under siege Second Amendment.” Trump also made an appearance in Greene’s district along with Fuller and other Republican candidates in February. Trump won the district by close to 37 points in 2024, according to The Downballot , and Republicans are likely to hold on to the seat. Republicans’ expected victory in April will be key in maintaining its narrow GOP House majority, which can only afford one GOP defection on legislation assuming all lawmakers are present and voting.
