Los Angeles’ luxe grocer Erewhon is headed to the museum.
Los Angeles County Museum of Art is set to host a new Erewhon café, located in the northeast pavilion on the W.M. Keck Plaza and featuring indoor and outdoor seating overlooking Alexander Calder’s fountain, Three Quintains (Hello Girls). The Erewhon outpost is part of an expansion that will be among two additional dining options, a restaurant and wine bar, that are scheduled to open later in 2026.
Both Erewhon and LACMA confirmed the news Tuesday morning with a press release and joint Instagram posts, revealing that a menu of “organic favorites” will be on offer when the café opens doors on April 19, a date reserved for members attending previews of the museum’s much anticipated David Geffen Galleries. Erewhon at LACMA will then be open to all visitors on May 4. It looks like it will be only temporary for now as the intel states that “Erewhon at LACMA will be available through the summer.”

That menu of “organic favorites” will include coffee and matcha, pastries, signature smoothies, cold-pressed juices and a selection of grab-and-go meals and snacks. So, yes, guests can grab a popular Hailey Bieber smoothie while on a break from checking out LACMA’s collection.
“We are excited to launch Erewhon at LACMA for the opening season of the David Geffen Galleries,” said Michael Govan, LACMA CEO and Wallis Annenberg director. “Erewhon is a Los Angeles icon that values creativity and well being and is dedicated to its communities. We look forward to working together on delicious offerings for our diverse, intergenerational visitors. A moment of respite at Erewhon at LACMA, surrounded by public art, will be a vital part of the LACMA experience.”
Added Erewhon CEO and owner Tony Antoci and president and owner Josephine Antoci in a joint statement: “We’re so proud to partner with LACMA, a meaningful milestone as our first museum collaboration. It really feels like a celebration of Los Angeles, bringing Erewhon and LACMA together to nourish and inspire the community we love.”
Erewhon at LACMA will be open during museum hours.
