What's Neglected about?

Neglected follows Det. Shaw, a small-town cop who is on the verge of retiring after a long and celebrated career. He's looking forward to spending more time with his family, namely his teenage son. However, on the last day of his job, a young man comes into the precinct to report a murder, and that's where everything goes wrong.

Suddenly, Shaw is face-to-face with a serial killer, known as "The Kid," who has kidnapped and buried his son. Now, it's a race against the clock for Shaw to solve three murders before his son runs out of air.
