Bill Lawrence, the Emmy-winning TV creator who made his name with Spin City, Scrubs, Cougar Town and Ted Lasso, and who currently has three shows simultaneously on the air — Apple TV+’s Shrinking, HBO’s Rooster and ABC’s revival of Scrubs — is the latest special guest confirmed to attend this year’s Napa Valley StreamFest.

At 6 p.m. on Saturday, April 25, Lawrence will sit down with yours truly in front of festival attendees at the Uptown Theatre in Downtown Napa for an hourlong career-retrospective conversation that will be recorded for subsequent airing on The Hollywood Reporter’s Awards Chatter podcast.

Immediately after that, two of the stars of Shrinking, Christa Miller and Ted McGinley, will be interviewed by SiriusXM host Julia Cunningham, who will then present them with the fest’s Vanguard Award in recognition of “their versatility and enduring impact across decades of television history.”

Cunningham will also preside over the presentation of several additional honors including the Social Impact Award to Jonathan Scott (Property Brothers) and the Breakthrough Artist Award to actress Sarah Ramos (The Napa Boys), along with several other previously announced honorees.

As was previously announced, the night before — Friday, April 24 — will be highlighted by a celebration of Law & Order: SVU star, My Mom Jayne director and social activist Mariska Hargitay. The festivities will kick off at 6 p.m. at the Uptown Theatre when Hargitay sits down with yours truly for an hourlong career-retrospective conversation that will be recorded for subsequent airing on THR’s Awards Chatter podcast. Immediately afterwards, the fest will present her with its Icon Award.

The second annual Napa Valley StreamFest will run April 23-26.
