President Trump on Saturday shared an AI-generated composite image of sunken Iranian warships, as the administration awaits a response from Iranian officials over a proposed peace plan.

The composite image shared on Truth Social shows “159 Iranian ships.” The first image shows several ships waving Iranian flags as “Obama/Biden,” an apparent reference to the Obama and Biden administrations, can be read above it.

The second image shows those same ships, many still waving Iranian flags, and debris on the ocean floor. Above the image is the word “Trump.”

Trump has frequently touted U.S. military capabilities in destroying Iranian ships, missile and anti-aircraft capabilities since the U.S. and Israel first struck Iran on Feb. 28. Though a ceasefire exists between the U.S. and Iran, Trump has given less frequent threats toward Iran.

On Thursday, two days after Trump paused his initiative to defend vessels passing through the Strait of Hormuz from Iranian firepower dubbed “Project Freedom,” Trump warned that the U.S. will “knock” Iran “a lot harder, and more violently” after U.S. forces intercepted an Iranian attack on three U.S. warships.

Trump paused “Project Freedom” after Iran was given a 14-point plan that would permanently cease hostilities and establish a framework for future talks on the nuclear aspect.

This one-page memorandum would have Iran commit to a 10- to 20-year moratorium on nuclear enrichment in exchange for the U.S. lifting its sanctions and releasing billions of frozen Iranian funds, Axios reported.

Terms from the memorandum of understanding spurred some backlash from Trump allies who have backed the administration’s military initiative in the Middle East.

Fox News broadcaster Mark Levin said a deal would be “disastrous” for Iranians and for the Israeli government, adding that “Democrats, the media, and the isolationists will declare the operation a failure.” Levin said he was inclined to believe Axios’s reporting on the peace terms was “largely fake.”

“I hope the terms of any deal would be significantly stricter: No enrichment, ever. HEU to us stat,” conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt wrote on social media referring to highly enriched uranium. “No more proxies. Turn on the internet. President Trump never gives up leverage. Why would he start now with #Iran on the ropes?”

Iranian leaders have shown little indication that they will fold.

The Islamic Republic has maintained a strong hold on the Strait of Hormuz, which has occasionally reopened during the conflict but has since stayed closed to allow for the passage of export goods. This has caused gas prices to rise, with Americans expressing frustration over price hikes as cost of living woes increase.
