Agents were seen in the garage and driveway area speaking with several neighbors. Four detectives and a sergeant from the Pima County Sheriff’s Office have been assigned to an FBI task force investigating her disappearance that will be stationed at the FBI’s Tucson, Ariz., office. The search has now reached Day 32. Nancy Guthrie search enters its second month Guthrie was reported missing Feb. 1, and authorities believe the 84-year-old was abducted from her home in the late night or early morning hours. Although multiple ransom notes have been found , Guthrie has still not been located. “Everybody wishes that we had some hot leads, that the whole department’s working, trying to run down to solve this quickly. So the fact that we’re reducing the amount of manpower working it, I mean, it’s hard to say what kind of sign that signals,” Sgt. Aaron Cross, president of the Pima County Deputies Organization, told NewsNation. Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos told NBC News investigators are “definitely closer” to tracking down a suspect, or suspects, in the case. Nanos also said there are still several key things investigators have not been able to identify. That includes a vehicle seen on a Ring camera video about 2 1/2 miles from Guthrie’s home around 2 a.m. the night she disappeared. Nanos said investigators are reviewing it along with “hundreds of thousands of vehicles” that were on the road at the time. DNA in glove found near Guthrie home traced to restaraunt employee DNA found on one of the gloves near Guthrie’s home was traced back to a restaurant employee who works nearby and is unrelated to her abduction, according to Nanos. Authorities in Arizona had been awaiting DNA results from the sample. Investigators were previously unable to get a hit on the glove in CODIS , the national criminal DNA database, and the FBI had indicated it could undergo additional genealogical testing.
