South Korea Secures $4.2 Billion Defense Deal with Boeing and Lockheed

South Korea has initiated a significant $4.2 billion procurement plan to bolster its military aviation capabilities through contracts with Boeing and Lockheed Martin. The investment is split into two primary segments: a $1.2 billion upgrade package for the nation's existing and future fleet of AH-64E Apache attack helicopters, and a $3 billion acquisition of 24 MH-60R Sikorsky Seahawk multimission helicopters.
